OUR SERVICES

1:1 ABA Therapy - Behavior Reduction and Communication Training

ABA therapy is individualized to meet the needs of your child. Evidence based procedures are implemented to increase target skills as well as to  decrease challenging behaviors. Our team will examine each challenging behavior affecting the learner's daily functioning and select appropriate proactive and reactive strategies for each to decrease frequency of the behavior.

Social Group

Our social group is conducted in a small group setting. Social group is designed to increase appropriate social behaviors through positive practice in a controlled environment to address:

  - Conversation Skills

  - Making Friends

  - Perspective Taking

Self Care Skills/Functional Living Skills

Many children struggle with acquiring the skills needed to complete self care skills, even when practiced frequently. We use a variety of techniques that allow us to work extensively on increasing independence through the development of functional and daily living skills. Skills such as:

  - Dressing

  - Bathing

  - Brushing teeth

  - Grooming

  - Feeding

  - Toileting

Community Skills

We believe it is important for every child to be successful in their community. Part of this is being able to navigate the community safely, identify and be aware of strangers, and to have safety skills awareness. Community training allows parents to learn techniques that may be effective with their child while in the community.

Community locations can include: restaurants, playgrounds, the pool, movie theaters, bowling and playing outside. Teaching appropriate skills also include indoor and outdoor leisure activities, such as four square and Simon says, board games, card games, and sibling playtime.

Self-Management

Teaching strategies to increase independence in monitoring and evaluating one's own behavior is a crucial skill for successful transitions to being productive members of society. In addition, we teach problem solving skills to give the learner strategies to deal with all parts of their lives.
